God’s Mirror.

At once gentle and full of peace,

the sun shines brightly from the east.

Patient as rock, formed ages ago

stand from the top and see grandeur below,

a mighty rock on which we stand.

Restful as a welcome breeze,

beauty for the eye to please.

collected streams that run along,

trickling sounds that sing a song

of heaven’s subdued melodies.

A painted azure sky above,

clouds soft as a Father’s love,

the air, a purity of breath,

His Son, our surety over death,

The Spirit flying overhead.

The shoots of life pass underfoot,

a cave filled with timeless soot,

the earthy smell of dirt beneath,

tales of rocks under our feet,

foundation of the world’s one hope.
